The battery indicator still holds a strong green, and the mouse is pretty new, I also turn it off manually most of the time (but acording to experience, today it doesn't matter that much). The problem isn't with the ball, the ball works perfectly, is cleaned everytime it feels slow but it does roll. When this happens also the buttons stop responding and the cursor starts moving pretty slow, in intervals and works only when it wants.
This is the only mouse this happens, haven't had enough time to test it elsewhere. Tomorrow gonna try a different battery and a diferrent PC, but I don't believe it'll work. Then I guess you have a different root cause for your problem.:) These questions may help you in finding what might be the reason for the issue. Can you identify a pattern or a specific event that may have any connection to the problem?
(just off the top of my head: launching a web browser, or anything of the sorts). Can you reproduce the problem at will?. Is the optical sensor clean of any residue?.
Do you experience the problem with another Nano receiver?. Do you experience the problem with another M570?. Do you experience the problem on the same computer but with a freshly installed or a different operating system (a Live OS might come in handy to test this)?. Do you experience the problem on other computers?. Is there anything that could be jamming the signal? I didn't keep mine and I'm a gentleman and I concede my own failure to do so, so I accept I'm pooched re: return/replacement etc. I have had a very super excellent experience with a wired laser mouse and felt they'd earned my trust re: dependability and when I wanted a ball, I opted for the M570 purely for the buttons and configuration.
It performed adequately in both of these regards until the clicking issues. Now it takes me up to a minute to select and copy text (I've resorted to Shift-Selecting using two clicks (and it should be noted that I've set my Folder Options to single-clicking) to accomplish this simple, utterly mundane task. I am replacing it (have a Kensington Expert Trackball (64325) due to arrive any day now.) but couldn't see the point of buying another 570 only to have to go through the rigamarole of getting it fixed if it fails. Here is a to the forum illustrating exactly what I speak of.

In fact, the first guy has FOUR (4) bad 570s.
