The information in this article applies to the following products: V270 Cordless Optical Mouse for Bluetooth The information applies to the following operating systems: Macintosh OS 10.4.x Note: If you have a Logitech Bluetooth Device other than the V270 Cordless Optical Mouse, please refer to. No Logitech software is required to use a Bluetooth Cordless Mouse with OS X as the mouse will use the Mac's built in Bluetooth and default mouse drivers. Follow the steps below to set up a Bluetooth mouse on the Mac OS 10.4.x: 1. If the mouse requires batteries, install them now. If the batteries are built in, plug the charger's AC adapter into an AC power source and place the mouse in the charger. Allow the mouse to charge for at least five minutes before continuing with the setup.

If the mouse has an ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the mouse, make sure the switch is set to the 'ON' position. Open the System Preferences and Click 'Bluetooth' under the Hardware pane. In the Bluetooth Preferences window, click the Settings tab and select the TURN BLUETOOTH ON button if the Bluetooth Power status reads 'off.' Now click the 'Devices' tab next to the 'Settings' tab and locate the SET UP NEW DEVICE button. This button should be located at the bottom, right hand corner of the window. The Bluetooth Setup Assistant will open. Click CONTINUE through the Introduction Screen.
Select the 'Mouse' option in the 'Select Device Type' window and click CONTINUE. The Bluetooth Setup Assistant will begin to search for the mouse. Locate the CONNECT or RESET button on the bottom of the mouse.
You will want to press and hold this button until the mouse appears in the list. (NOTE: Pressing and Holding the Connect/Rest button will make the mouse 'discoverable'). Once the mouse appears in the list, Click CONTINUE. The Assistant will 'pair' the mouse with a Passkey. When it completes this process you will see a Conclusion Screen.
At this point, your mouse will be operable. Click QUIT and enjoy your Logitech Mouse! Basic troubleshooting if the mouse fails to connect:.
