NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma men’s and women’s track and field teams travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Tyson Invitational on Friday, Feb. 9, and Saturday, Feb. The Tyson Invitational will be a preview of the NCAA National Indoor Track & Field Championships as its field features nine men’s and six women’s events in which the No. 1-ranked collegians are entered. All of the meet’s events are stacked with the nation’s top competitors, including deep men’s, with six of the top 10 ranked athletes, and women’s, with seven of the top 10 ranked athletes, 60-meter dash fields. Big 12 opponents Baylor, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech are also entered.

Several Sooners added their names to the NCAA’s top performers list with their results at last weekend’s J.D. Martin Invitational. The Sooners have six men and three women provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships, March 9-10.
